Battery Size Indicator

Some of the DCT3 & DCT4 series mobile phones use to identify the kind of used battery.

It is connected to resistor to GND. It can be determined which kind of NiMH battery or Li-ion battery is in the phone.

-It is used to measure the battery temperature. It stops the charging, if the battery is starting to overheating.

-In case of NTC thermistor if the temperature increasing, the resistance decreasing. The temperature of the battery make the resistance beetween the GND and the BSI change.
