Notes[edit]
This method:
- will not erase any user data from phone,
- is a general unlock procedure (even the pictures show the unlocking process of Nokia 6070)
What is needed?[edit]
- JAF interface
- Activated Pkey dongle
- Installed JAF, Pkey drivers, and JAF software
- Fbus cable to connect the phone to JAF interface
Compatibility[edit]
- All Nokia DCT4 phones are supported. For more information, visit Nokia DCT4 phones!
Unlock method[edit]
1. Connect JAF interface and Pkey to computer. Connect phone to JAF interface with FBus cable. Start J.A.F. software.
2. Now the phone should show "Local mode" on its screen. (The backgroung lightning will be off, so the "Local mode" caption is barely seen on the screen.) On "DCT4" tab press "INF" button to read the phone data.
3. If JAF software successfully readed the phone data that means the communication is fine. Now press "(Un)lock" button.
4. After JAF unlocked the phone, the locks will be read, which should all be "OPEN", then "Done!" message will appear.
5. The unlock procedure finished. You may press "Inf" button again to check if all the locks are open.
Possible error messages[edit]
- The phone does not goes into "Local mode"
- 1. reconnect cable. 2. Disconnect VPP pin from cable.
