What You need?[edit]
- JAF interface
- FBus cable
- PKey dongle
- "JAF Nokia BB5 No TP Unlocker" software
- Installed JAF and Pkey drivers
Unlock Procedure[edit]
1. Connect JAF box and Pkey to computer
2. Connect phone to FBus cable, and to JAF box
3. Run "JAF Nokia BB5 No TP Unlocker" software, then select "JAF" (or UFS) as Comm. Device.
3. Select "Phones" tab, then select "Automatic" as Phone Model.
4. Press "Phone Info" button, then check the phone simlock: "CLOSED" means that the phone is locked.
5. Press "Make Backup" button to read pm values. (If the unlock was not successful, or the phone simlock data corrupted, Backup could be restored by pressing "Restore Backup" button.)
6. Now press "Unlock" button. Wait till "Successfully done" appear.
7. Press "Phone info" button to read the phone data and simlock information. If all the Simlock data blocks are "OPEN", then the phone is unlocked.
Note: After the unlock, the config key must be the same as before the unlock procedure. Sometimes the config key gets "000000000000000000" in this case the simlock area damaged, and the software can't unlock the phone. Press "Restore backup" button to restore the simlock area.
