Nokia dead USB flashing using JAF

Notes[edit]

  • This method will erase user data
  • Check if battery is charged
  • You must flash the same version or newer version software on phone. If You don't know which software version does the mobile phone has, flash the newest available software on phone.

What You need?[edit]

Flashing procedure[edit]

1. Connect Pkey dongle, JAF interface and USB cable on computer.

2. Start JAF software.

First: select "USB" as "Communication mode"
Then: select "Factory set", "Normal mode", "Dead USB", "Manual flash", untick "CRT 308".
After that select "Use INI".

3. After "Use INI" selected, a window will appear where You have to select the mobile phone type.

4. Now select language package (product code, brand).

5. Press "Flash" button. After that, a warning message will appear. Press "Yes" button.

6. JAF software will search for phone. Connect turned off phone on USB cable, then press "On" button on phone until "Phone detected" message appear.

7. Wait till JAF flash the phone. When finished, "Done" message will appear.
