iPhone hard reset howto.

Notes

  • All user data will be erased from phone! (Phone will be restored to its factory defaults.) You will need: iTunes and original Provider SIM card (if you have factory lock.)

Hard reset procedures

Hard reset procedure #1

1. Connect the iPhone via USB.

2. Turn OFF phone.

3. Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.

4. Continue holding the both buttons for exact 10 seconds. Then release the Sleep/Wake. Keep holding the Home button until iTunes pops up that it has found an iPhone in Recovery Mode.

5. Follow on screen procedure.

Hard reset procedure #2

1. Connect the iPhone via USB.

2. Open iTunes, and choose iPhone.

3. Press recover button, and follow on screen command.
